
Set up in 1993 and groundbreaking in Brazil, Amil Resgate Saúde is a complete system of aero-medical transportation, counting on professionals of international recognition and units that are nothing less than mobile Intensive Care Units.
With coverage throughout the whole country, Amil Resgate Saúde has the most up-to-date structure for moving patients in a grave condition, with cardiac or neurological problems or poly-traumatism.
The personnel at Amil Resgate Saúde follow routines of conduct according to the following international medical protocols:
• BLS: Basic Life Support;
• ATLS: Advanced Trauma Life Support, of American College of Surgeons;
• ACLS: Advanced Cardiologic Life Support, of American Heart Association;
• FCCS: Fundamental of Critical Care Support, of Society of Critical Care Medicine;
• PALS: Pediatric Advanced Life Support, of American Heart Association;
• CRM: Crew Resource Management - Aeromedical crew;
• CFS: Training Course for First Responders;
• Course for aeromedical crew member.
With bases in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, Amil Resgate Saúde performs an average of 2,480 missions on the ground, 50 air transfers and 70 events coverage (such as Indy Racing, Criança-Esperança, Comandatuba Business Forum, among other), amounting to some 2,600 missions per year.
In São Paulo, in addition to Jardins Unit, located at Avenida Nove de Julho, Amil Health Rescue also offers the Medical Emergencies Center, in Alphaville, in the region of Barueri (SP), where there is a full structure for medical attention. In Rio de Janeiro, the Amil Health Rescue has a basis in Barra da Tijuca, located within the Hospital Barra D‘Or, and one installed on the premises of the Rede Globo de Televisão in the Jardim Botânico.
Due to its excellence in medical transport services, the Amil Health Rescue received over the years, several awards and recognitions in national and international services provided. Among them is the International Accreditation by JCI - Joint Commission International, an independent and non-profit organization that approves and certifies more than 19,000 healthcare organizations and programs in the United States. The Amil Health Rescue was the second Aeromedical transportation service, outside the U.S., to have such accreditation.
