Antapite is located in the province of Huaytará, in the department of Huancavelica, approximately 434 kilometers southeast of the city of Lima at an altitude of approximately 3,400 meters above sea level.
The mine is accessed primarily by the Pan American Highway and local roads.
Mining is conducted underground.
