Julcani is located in the province of Angaraes in the department of Huancavelica, approximately 500 kilometers southeast of Lima at an altitude of between 4,200 and 5,000 meters above sea level.
Access is by a 195 kilometer unpaved public road, which connects to a paved public road, and by airstrip.
