What is an ADR?

ADR means American Depositary Receipts. They are depositary receipts equivalent to CSN shares and are traded in NYSE.  Thus, foreign investors who are willing to invest in CSN can trade ADRs instead of investing directly trhough Bovespa.

Why does CSN calculate EBITDA?

EBITDA represents net income (loss) plus financial expense, net, social contribution and income taxes and depreciation and amortization. EBITDA should not be considered as an alternative to net income (loss), as an indicator of CSN operating performance, or as an alternative to cash flow as an indicator of liquidity. CSN management believes that EBITDA provides a useful measure of the Company’s performance that is widely used by investors and analysts to evaluate its performance and compare it with other companies. In making such comparisons, however, you should bear in mind that EBITDA is not a recognized measure under U.S. Accounting Principles (US GAAP) or Brazilian Accounting Principles (BR GAAP) and that it may be defined and calculated differently by different companies.

HOW CAN I PARTICIPATE IN THE GSM/ESM?

General Shareholder Meeting has to be held within the 4 (four) months after the end of the fiscal year, aiming at the approval of the financial statements, earnings destination, and the Board of Directors’ election. Any shareholder can participate. The meetings call notices are published in newspapers chosen by the Company and in the CSN website. To receive information about these meetings, shareholders are recommended to register in the section Other IR Resources/Email Alerts.
