Fertilizantes Heringer S.A. understands the importance of having at its units practical and efficient systems for receiving imported and local raw materials and for delivering finished products. That’s why it not only developed exclusive practices, but also created a wholly owned subsidiary in March 2008, called Lógica Transportes S.A., to provide road transportation services with the objective of maintaining a stronger presence in the trucking services market.

Determining the location of the company’s units was based on a strategic functionality plan that took into account the location of fertilizer consumer centers, allowing for customizing deliveries, maintaining quality standards, meeting the growth in demand and generating savings throughout the logistics chain.

This equation also factors in the interconnection with the ports receiving the imported raw materials, which includes the ports of Paranaguá (PR), Vitória (ES), Santos (SP), Aratu (BA), Salvador (BA), Porto Alegre (RS), Rio Grande (RS) and Aracajú (SE).

Moreover, investments were made in railroad sidetracks to allow for operating with different types of transportation, providing greater flexibility in terms of transportation modes, better reliability and the certainty that products will reach their destinations within the established time periods.
