We are the leading, multi-brand, quick casual restaurant chain in Brazil. Our leadership position is supported by our more than 200 company-owned restaurants and approximately 8,000 employees.
Our footprint is focused on captive markets with high underlying growth. Approximately 80% of our revenues are generated from our operations in Brazil where we are present in the following three segments: airports, motorways and shopping malls. The remainder of our revenues is generated from our international operations in the Caribbean and Mexico, with a primary focus on the airport segment.
In motorways and shopping malls in Brazil we operate under our Frango Assado and Viena flagship brands; which combined have almost 100 years in the market and are well recognized by customers for their quality of food and service. Furthermore, for the airport segment, we have a portfolio of restaurant concepts and well-recognized brands ensuring that we always deploy the best format to meet the needs of our customers and the requirements of airport operators.
We have successfully pursued a strategy of rapid and profitable growth, driven by organic expansion of our operations and the accretive acquisition of high quality casual dining chains in the segments and geographic markets in which we operate. Since 2006, we have opened over 100 new stores, and acquired and integrated seven companies in Brazil and Latin America.
We started our company in 2006 with the vision of becoming the leading provider of quick quality meals for customers in captive markets in Brazil and Latin American with an aggressive growth plan consolidating highly fragmented markets. Our CEO, Francisco Javier Gavilán Martin, started with our company since its inception and has led our experienced management team. Since the beginning of our operations we have worked with Advent International, an experienced global private equity firm with over US$24 billion in cumulative capital raised, successfully implementing our expansion strategy.
Our shareholder base also includes former owners of acquired companies, which remain engaged as advisors and contribute their significant experience and networks to the success of our business.
