Being a large company with international scope, we value diversity and are concerned with social responsibility issues. As such, we have created projects that seek to achieve the well-being of the people and environment around us.
IMC participates in the “ Invoices for Charity”, an initiative of the Government of the State of São Paulo whose purpose is to redirect the refunds of the Nota Fiscal Paulista from consumers who do not wish to recover it, to charitable institutions. We currently help ten institutions through the FrangoAssado brand.
Through the partnership with non-profit organizations, such as CODERI, IMC has prepared a project for the inclusion of special needs persons. Currently there are five employees that contribute daily with IMC. In addition, employees of IMC and their families take part of the annual Health Fair, as well as the employees of the Luís Munhoz Marín International Airport. Hypertension and vision problem tests are performed, among others.
IMC also sponsors Bill’s Kitchen, a non-profit organization whose centers take care of less favored people, feeding them with high quality food recommended by nutritionists. Furthermore, an IMC nutriotionist is part of the volunteer group, with an active participation in the project.
Having future professionals in mind, IMC also created the Practicing Center for Nutrition Students, which provides hands-on experience to the students of the University of Turabo in Puerto Rico since 2008.
