The concern with nature and the care to the environment are also within IMC’s principles of Social Responsibility. Since 2003, there has been an on-going recycling plan in our Caribbean operations, which includes the recycling of renewable materials such as paper, cans, fluorescent tubes, and printing cartridges. In addition, IMC promotes social and educational awareness through leaflets and signs. In 2010, as part of our goals, the first Fair for the Awareness of Recycling and Natural Resources Preservation took place.

In Brazil, IMC takes part of the EcoarFlorestal Re-forestation Program. Its purpose is to replace trees that have been cut for commercialization of wood, such as those used in wood-fired ovens in our restaurants. In ten years, the participation of Viena in this initiative has led to th planting of around 13,000 trees, equivalent to an area of 2528 square meters
