São Paulo, July 5, 2013 - IR Global Rankings ("IRGR"), the world’s largest ranking system for Investor Relations websites, online annual reports, corporate governance best practices and financial disclosure procedures, held the First Executive Roundtable, which was designed to encourage the exchange of new ideas and suggestions in order to improve efficiency in communication with stakeholders.
The event was attended by Vinícius Meirelles, ALL’s IR Manager, Gustavo Souza, Light’s IR Manager, Carlos Lazar, Kroton Educacional’s IR and Strategic Planning Officer, Geraldo Colonhezi Jr., LEAD’s Partner and Managing Director, Paulo Barroso, Head of IR Global Rankings and Carolina Bianchi, IR Global Rankings Executive.
Paulo Barroso began the presentation by introducing IRGR’s history, methodology and intelligence in the evaluation of IR websites and then presented the new strategic management and initiatives planned for 2013. Subsequently, Vinícius, accompanied by Leandro Santana, ALL’s IR Coordinator, opened the discussion by presenting ALL‘s website restructuring process, which included a benchmark study featuring IRGR 2011 winners and a list of possible changes. ALL‘s website was created so that analysts and investors could have access to the desired content in up to two clicks. Another highlight is the development of the application for mobile platforms using interactive content in addition to the Company‘s IR website.
After the presentation, Carolina Bianchi moderated the conversation with the participating executives, addressing issues related to Investor Relations and the improvement of the attending companies’ IR websites.
Vinícius Meirelles stressed that ALL’s IR website’s biggest highlight is the easy access to content, while its main challenge is updating information. He also pointed out the profile of the users of ALL’s IR website application, who, in addition to financial results, seek interactivity and functionality .
Carlos Lazar emphasized that it is important that Companies allocate a share of their budget to invest in the development of a good IR website, avoiding even larger investments in updating and maintenance in the future.
Gustavo Souza highlighted the importance of the IR Officer’s involvement in the development of the Company’s new IR website. At LIGHT, the main changes were in content and navigability to improve communication with stakeholders. Users can obtain the desired information with only one click. This change was supported by perception and benchmark studies carried out to determine market needs.
Geraldo Colonhezi highlighted important points, including the website update process. All the executives mentioned the need for a professional responsible for updating and maintaining the IR channels in the companies.
In addition to the debate among the participants, one of the highlights of the event was the launch of the 2013 IR Website Benchmark, a complete study with several analyses of the best IR websites in the 2012 ranking.
