Kroton Educacional S.A. (“Company”) hereby informs its shareholders and the market in general that Mr. Pedro Pullen Parente has resigned from his position as an independent member of the company’s Board of Directors, to which he was elected on September 2nd, 2009, until the Annual Shareholders’ Meeting of 2011, as per the letter of resignation tendered by him and filed at the Company’s headquarters.
The Company is taking all the necessary measures to fill the resulting vacancy and will shortly call a Shareholders’ Meeting to elect a new independent Board member.
