Marfrig Group’s operating structure is divided in 5 business units, where each unit is managed by one executive officer, responsible for its financial and operating performance. All the units operate under the same policy, coordinated by the centralized control department, with clear assessment of performance, results and efficiency, and guided by a sales committee, aligned to the Marfrig Group’s strategy.


Since January 2010, our operating structure operates as follows::

Beef Brazil & Food Service

  • 22 cattle slaughtering units in 8 Brazilian states with a daily capacity of 22,350 heads, one of them with daily capacity of 2,000 lambs;
  • 5 industrialized and further processing plants with a monthly capacity of 12,540 tonnes;
  • Termination feedlots in the state of São Paulo and Mato Grosso;
  • 1 Distribution Center in the city of Santo André (SP) moving approximately 300 tonnes of food/day;
  • More than 800 products distributed, including fish, barbecues special cuts, beef cuts, pork, lamb and poultry, potato, frozen vegetables;
  • The leader in the distribution of pre cooked potato chips in Rio de Janeiro – São Paulo;
  • The largest importer of lamb cuts, special beef cuts, salmon and fish;
  • Strong presence in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Brazilian South and Northeast regions;
  • Own fleet with 55 vehicles;
  • Approximately 25,000 active clients; and
  • Brands Bassi, Palatare and, GJ (Exports).

New SEARA

  • 15 chicken slaughtering units in 6 Brazilian states with a daily capacity of 2.44 million chicken;
  • 4 pork slaughtering units in 3 Brazilian states with a daily capacity of 10,400 porks;
  • 1 turkey slaughtering unit with a daily capacity of 30,000 turkeys;
  • 9 processing plants with a monthly production capacity of 31,932 tonnes;
  • Pork ranches in the state of Mato Grosso with a daily capacity of 12,200 matrices and 1,200 porks;
  • Poultry operation 100% integrated;
  • Feed production unit; and
  • Brands: SEARA, Mabella, DaGranja and Pena Branca.

Argentina

  • 5 slaughterhouses with capacity of 3,900 cattle/day;
  • 5 industrialized units with capacity of 5,566 tonnes/month;
  • The largest beef Company in slaughtering, net sales and beef exports with 62% of market share in hamburgers with its PATY brand;
  • Operates in the USA with the packing and distribution of beef jerky, through its own brand for retail and the Pemmican brand; and
  • Brands Paty, Aberdeen Angus and Pemmican.

Uruguay

  • 4 slaughtering cattle plants with a daily slaughtering capacity of 3,900 heads of cattle;
  • 3 slaughtering lamb plants (2 in Uruguay and 1 in Chile) with a daily slaughtering capacity of 8,400 lambs;
  • 3 industrialized products plants with a monthly capacity of 5.885 tonnes of products;
  • 1 deboning plant (in Chile);
  • Marfrig is the largest Company in Uruguay, achieveing about 30% of the slaughtering and beef country exports; and
  • Brands Tacuarembó, Bernina and Paty.

Europe

  • 3 poultry slaughtering plants (2 in England and 1 in Northern Ireland) with a daily slaughtering capacity of 647,000 chicken;
  • 9 industrialized product plants in 4 countries (5 in England, 2 in France, 1 in Northern Ireland and 1 in Holland) with a monthly production capacity of 14,806 tonnes;
  • 1 import and distribution unit in England;
  • 1 canned plant in England;
  • Moy Park is the largest Company in Northern Ireland and the leader in the poultry segment with around 30% of market share;
  • The largest producer of processed chicken products in the United Kingdom;
  • 80% of market share in “fresh breaded” and 75% in “roasted” products in UK;
  • Sales concentrated in major retailers and distributors as Tesco and Sainsbury’s; and
  • Brands Moy Park, Kitchen Range, Albert van Zoonen.

Leather

  • 1 tannery in the city of Promissão (state of São Paulo) with a daily processing capacity of 1,500 hides/day; and
  • Zenda, acquired in 2009, has 10 plants, in 5 countries (4 in Uruguay, 3 in South Africa, 1 in Argentina, 1 in México and 1 in Germany) with a daily capacity of 7,000 hides/day.
