    Rio de Janeiro, July 29, 2008 - Sul América S.A. (Bovespa: SULA11) hereby announces that this Wednesday, July 30, 2008 it will enter into the quiet period, the fifteen-day period prior to the disclosure of its consolidated results for the second quarter of 2008 (2Q08).

    During the quiet period, the Company will not comment on its financial results. This initiative complies with the best practices of corporate governance, and is aimed at ensuring greater fairness in the disclosure of information.

    The disclosure of results is scheduled for August 14, 2008 after close of the trading session, when the quiet period will end.
